To quote the article 'Ms Martin is currently wrapping up her job as a senior business executive with the Yukon Government and will be taking up her position with the Stephenville Airport mid-September ". Ms Martin said " This is all aimed at creating a new strategic growth plan for Stephenville Airport with a positive agenda, so I really can't think of a better job to have. "The Stephenville Airport" Citizens Group extends a warm welcome to Ms Martin to Stephenville and wishes her every success in her new job.

09-02-11The Stephenville Airport Corporation has had a change to its Board. The present voluntary Board consist of the following six people. Ian Stokes, Wayne Howlett, Mike Campbell, William Gallant and Denis Bruce under the Chairmanship of Graham Armour.

17-03-11We are very pleased to learn Sunwing Airlines will be providing a summer service to the Stephenville Airport this coming service.

Sunwing Flights will commence on Wednesday, June 22, 2011 and will continue until September 10, 2011. Arriving at 10:20 am and departing at 12:05 Noon.

17-11-10 A new Board of Directors and Manager has been announced for the Stephenville Airport Corporation . The "Stephenville Airport" Citizens Committee wishes each and everyone much success in their endeavour . The appointments are as follows:

The new board is Graham Armour, Ian Stokes , Wayne Howlett , Mike Campbell and Kevin Baker , with Mr. Armour appointed as the Chair of the group.

New Manager: Gary Noel.

19-10-10“SAVE THE STEPHENVILLE AIRPORT” campaign has been on hold for quite some time because of SAC’s negotiations with KAZ Aviation, negotiations which have now ceased. Recent media announcements indicate that Stephenville Airport Corporation will be operating under a new board to be announced in the very near future. The Stephenville Airport Citizens group remains positive we will see a bright future ahead for this economic generator namely “The Stephenville Airport”.

The campaign amount raised and deposited in the “In Trust Account” was $8,896.21, of which $2,000 went to repair a section of the Airport’s roof. The balance of $6,896.21 will remain in the account until a specific need is identified. Should you have any concerns please contact one of the members appearing on the contact page.

16-12-09The Holiday Season and busy schedules has resulted in the slowing down of the Save the Stephenville Airport Campaign. The Citizens Group anticipate to commence with a renewed vigar in the new year and also hope to be able to answer some of the questions being put forth by the people.

09-25-09“The Stephenville Airport” Citizens held a rally at the airport. All regions were notified and the rally was well attended. People in attendance were told an updated Business Plan was required by Government.
05-10-09Airport Citizens meeting included an overview of the rally and election of Executive and Directors.
08-10-09Bill Hynes, Chairperson, contacted all Mayors in the region and asked the towns publically announce their support for the Stephenville Airport.
